Ian grew up in Northwest Arkansas and attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education that focused in photography and ceramics. He taught elementary art at The New School from 2010 to 2014. Currently, he lives in Fayetteville with his wife, dogs, cat, and parrot.
